Balmoral Castle
The Scottish holiday home to the Royal Family. Balmoral Castle has been the Scottish home of the Royal Family since it was purchased for Queen Victoria by Prince Albert in 1852. It's where Queen Elizabeth spent her summer holiday and was widely thought to be the monarch's favourite residence. Balmoral Estate has a very attractive site surrounded by the glorious scenery of Royal Deeside. It offers impressive landscapes, a wealth of wildlife and activities for all the family.
Cairngorms National Park
Where people and nature thrive together. Discover, experience and be part of the UK's largest National Park. It is twice the size of the Lake District National Park and bigger than the whole of Luxembourg.
The Cairngorms is home to four of the five highest mountains in the UK; home to one-quarter of Scotland's native forest; one-third of the UK land above 600 meters; more breeding waders than the whole of Wales and a quarter of the rare and endangered species in the UK!
